This pause at the Boot Menu on every startup is not acceptable.
Using v5.3
Any way to delete it as I DO HAVE a rescue CD in-hand.

There are two options.

You can use MSCONFIG to change the delay time to as short as you want.

You can remove the boot option completely using the same menu item you used to create it. In the Other Tasks menu select the Add Boot Menu... option and deselect the entry.
