Posted - January 01 2015 : 00:18:30 Hi,
And Happy New Year. :-)
I was wondering if there is an update on whether FTP is going to be available any time soon?
We are looking for an alternative to SMB due to security risks (Cryptolocker, and other similar malicious software that can destroy backups) that may target network shares - and S/FTP in Macrium would appear to make a lot of sense and a good security option.
We utilise NAS devices such as IO Safe (Waterproof, fireproof NAS drive that uses Synology as it's OS) with scheduled backup solutions and would be very keen to look at using FTP with Macrium as a solution.
Thanks & Regards
Adam

Posted - January 05 2015 : 00:29:08 Hi All,
I'd also like to second this request. The threat of the Crypto Virus is quite a scary one and if it did attempt to encrypt backup files this would create all sorts of problems not to mention large expenses.
Also as per Charlie's request an example of the VB Script would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Josh.

Posted - January 01 2015 : 11:41:17 Hi,
We can't give you an ETA currently for such a feature.
We do understand your concerns regarding a cryptolocker type threat, so in the meantime we would suggest you use the vbscript feature to add a post backup upload using whichever protocol/software you choose.
