Basically I am satisfied with the function of Reflect.
And I know this is only a matter of preference.

I like to keep my Windows desktop as simple as possible.
So I usually delete icons placed on the desktop.
It is enough for me to access them through start menu.

However, Reflect puts its icon onto the desktop again
whenever I start it (from start menu).
Is it actually necessary? If not, I would like Reflect
to leave my desktop with no icon.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your quick reply.

As I am using Windows 8.1, "Default" Desktop folder should be above.
I looked into there, but couldn't find anything.

However, the icon repeatedly created was actually in a different folder:
C:\Users\Public\Desktop

I tried deleting it within Windows Explorer, and then started Reflect...

Yes! Now It doesn't create a new icon!

I have never thought of such a difference depending on how to delete an icon.

Thank you very much!

Hi Opportunitas,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue that you are having.

Please try deleting the Macrium Reflect shortcut from the default user desktop directory:

Vista and above: C:\Users\Default\Desktop

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

Kind regards
