I have a backup of my Windows Partition created, yesterday and I have a WinPE created a few months ago. In the three attempts Macrium has failed at fixing a missing BootMGR, I tried the Windows7 disk, I get an error that the Official Windows7 CD is not compatible with my version of Windows7, both CD and what is installed on the computer is Windows7 x64, therefore a Windows restore from the official disc is not possible either.

This problem appears very common, yet one would think I would have had it restored within an hour after it occurring. I hope I didn't loose any data, incase your wonder how this happened. I wanted to merge two partitions using EaseUS Partition software, I used the software a year ago without problems, of course this time a problem has to happen.

Hi SugarCrisp,

Thanks for posting.

Unfortunately it appears that EaseUS has caused the issue that you are having. I suggest that you contact their support department, they will be more familiar with their product and "partition merging" errors than we are.

Sorry I cannot be of anymore help.

Kind regards
