Posted - February 10 2016 : 18:59:36 I'm trying to create a rescue media using v6 free edition because I created a backup a few weeks ago using v6 free edition and instead of burning the rescue media, it's continously on the please wait progress bar and nothing gets burned ?

Posted - February 11 2016 : 22:34:15 Hi
v5 rescue media is not compatible with v6 images.
All versions v6 can create a rescue media ISO image in exactly the same way as v5.
Posted - February 11 2016 : 22:25:53 I am a paid version 5 user; unfortunately, unless you know otherwise; I can't load a backup created in version 6 using a version 5 rescue media ?

Technically, the free version does not qualify for support so Macrium may not respond to your post.
I do not have and do not use the free version but if the option is not in the same place it is on the paid version then it indeed may be missing from the free version. On the paid version is on the screen where you would normally specify the device to write the rescue media to. Reflect does have issues writing rescue media to some drives. It is likely a driver issue. You may want to try updating the drivers or using drivers from the drive maker rather then generic Windows drivers.

Posted - February 11 2016 : 04:45:49 I know it's not version 5; I'm a version 5 user so I thought of staying on that board.
There is no option to create an ISO from within Reflect Free 6 that I can see ?

Posted - February 10 2016 : 22:01:34 This is the version 5 forum. You can try creating an ISO file instead of creating the rescue disk directly from Reflect. Then use a 3rd party program to write the ISO image to the rescue media.
