Hi,
I tried checking the new updates for my Macrium Reflect V: 5.3(B:7170). However, I only found that there was v5.3.7299 available, and I didn't find V6 via the update to be downloaded.
So, my question is, V: 5.3(B:7170) can be upgraded/updated into V6 via update, or must the v:6 be downloaded completely again?

Also, If I want to participate in the forum of V6, I will need to create another one account?

Hi A Cooperator,

You would need to use the download manager to install v6.

You can download the latest installer by entering your license key in the download manager here:

http://updates.macrium.com/reflect/v5.0/reflectdlfull.exe

To post on the V6 forum you will need to have your V6 license key handy to create a new account.

Thanks a lot,
I think there is misunderstanding. I am expecting that my version 5 of Macrium would be updated/upgraded into v 6 without needing to have another key of version 6.

So, my question is, V: 5.3(B:7170) can be upgraded/updated into V6 via checking updates, or must the v:6 be purchased again, and downloaded completely again?

You need to check your serial number to see what the cost (if any), would be to upgrade. It depends on when you purchased your copy of Version 5. In either case you still need to download and install version 6 and use a valid version 6 serial number. You cannot just do an update of version 5 to get to version 6.

Thanks a lot,
As long as V6 will require a new product key, then I don't think v 5 will be updated to v6 by using the same product key of v5.
I have purchased my Macrium Reflect v5.0 Professional Edition since 7 Sep 2013

With that purchase date (2013), you would not get a free upgrade to V6. You would get a discount as a V5 owner and if you wait until there are coupons available (which happen from time to time - but you have to keep checking) you could save a little more. Using your V5 serial number you can find out how much you would have to pay for V6. Note that V5 works just fine so unless you want to upgrade to V6 to take advantage of some of the new features, you can continue using V5 as long as you wish.

Thanks a lot,
Where(which website) could I be checking to see if there are coupons available?
Also, do you know that there are significant advantages available in V6

The Macrium site shows the new features of V6. Only you can decide if they are an advantage for the way you work.

Coupons exist at various marketing sites just Google something like Macrium Reflect Coupons".

Thanks a lot,
Yes, I found a coupon like 7AE-6SN-BSW.
However, when I want to purchase a v6 of Macrium with applying the coupon, I don't see any Macrium Reflect v6.0 Professional Edition listed:

Since I would want to use the product key of my Macrium Reflect v5.0 Professional Edition and use the coupon to get a discount when upgrading to Version 6 , I don't think that I can use the key product of my Macrium Reflect v5.0 Professional Edition along with the coupon to get another edition of Macrium Reflect v6.0.

Secondly: while finding out my upgrade options, home use, or business. Which can I select according to my use of the Reflect?
I don't see that business use can provide other features other than support.

Finally: I only found that coupon gave me a discount of $3.5. Can I found another one giving me more discount?

There may be other coupons from time to time. The one you are talking about is probably a 10% off coupon which are common. Since I bought the 4 pack, that 10% was more than $3.50 (or similar Canadian).

I use the Home addition of V6. Unless you have a business with a need for fast support, the home addition may be adequate. But only you can determine that.

Thanks a lot,
Firstly: Yes, Have you seen my screen shot of the V6 of Macrium Reflect Editions but the V6 of Macrium is not existed with Professional Edition. Since V6 of Macrium Reflect is not available in Professional Edition. So, If I'd not had the V5 of Macrium Professional Edition, and wanted to purchase a V6 of MAcrium Professional Edition, then I would have had to purchase a V5 of Macrium Professional Edition, then upgrade it to V5 to get a V6 of Macrium Professional Edition.

Secondly: I've been using V5 of Macrium Professional Edition. So, is it home or business use? If it home use, then what about 'Macrium home edition'?

Hi A cooperator,

We have changed the edition names to bring them more inline with their intended markets. The Home and Workstation editions have the same features the only difference is the support model. Upgrading to V6 Home edition would be fine.
