 Using v6 manual for v5

Just asking a dumb question. I stopped using Reflect because there was no manual and when your computer crashes you cant go online to read articles so I gave up. I see now they have v6 and a v6 manual.
My question how different are the two versions. Could the v6 manual be able to be used for v5. I know 6 has many more options but I was hoping v5 structure was used to base 6 off of. I rarely used v5 so I never got my moneys worth and will not buy v6. Kinda was ticked no documentation was offered for v5 owners

Am I nuts or am I out of luck?

A lot of the V6 documentation applies to V5 as well, even though V6 offers several new features.
