I realized that, after last update, imaging disk backup got a little faster, but files & folders backup got much slower. Why? Is it regular?

I use Macrium Reflect for about two years, but there is an annoying issue since v4 and repeated now in v5: ALWAYS I right-clic on the virtual drive intending to detach it, Windows Explore crashes.
Has anybody realized a issue like that and has got a solution?
