My external HDD (eSata connection) is on its way out (making lots of clicking noises) and is currently disconnected. It has all sorts of Reflect backups on it -- various snapshots of point in times that I would like to keep. (To minimize redundant backups of archival material, I would sometimes do a 1-time backup to preserve those things).

I got a new larger eSata backup HDD to replace it. It's connected and empty at the moment.

Both drives have USB also.

I am trying to figure out a strategy for preserving some of the old backups on the new drive. Is Reflect involved in this transfer? Or just do a plain Windows Explorer copy (which would alter the date-time stamps, which is undesirable)?

Both new and old drives currently have named the disk MacriumBackups(K:) (to match all my backup scripts) but I suppose I could rename one of them to not confuse things during this initialization phase.

But I confuse easily as this post shows!!!

p.s. I am W7-64. Still using V4, but I think/hope that is irrelevant to this question.
