1. My first difficulty was how to start Reflect, as I try not to use either the Desktop or the Start Menu, and the former only for less frequently used programs. I have a very good free HotKey utility (HotKeyz), but I was unable to use it as an XP .lnk file cannot be run normally. So I was reduced to using an XP HotKey, which I gave up long ago as inherently unreliable.

2. I would very much like a proper command-line, so as to incorporate commands into a script and run it with my own long-standing scheduler, which far surpasses the Windows version. With a script it is easy to avoid program conflicts.

3. On the plus side I very much appreciated your restore ssystem. I use a two-pane file manager (xpress2). With it I can view both the virtual drive created by your program and the real one. It is also possible to maintain the two in sychronism and copy or move individual files with hotkeys. Too many backup programs assume that you want to extract the whole backup, but that is very rarely the case.

Autoreply to first point in my first post.

4. Some Googling unearthed "WinXP_EXE_Fix.reg" which I applied, restarted the computer - and the problem in para 1 has been fixed. Just why it should have affected "reflect.exe" only is impossible to tell. But at least I have a basis for running it with a script and maybe I can use SendKeys commands instead of command-line parameters, which I would however much prefer to have available.

BTW Preview doesn't work and I am logged in.

Thanks for your comments. We shall investigate the issue you raised in 1 & 4.

Release 3.1 is due out in the next few days and will include command line processing. You should receive this automatically or, if you've disabled this feature, by clicking on the 'check for updates' toolbar button.
