I have all my automated backup routines set to verify. The message on the log however indicates

verifying xxxxxxxxxx
ok continuing

Backup completed

Now I am assuming that due to the backup completing that the verifying routine completed successfully- the messages don't really confirm this and thus could be changed a bit to indicated 1- that the verify completed and that 2- it was successful or not.

Thanks for your post.

The indication that verification succeeded is the line:

OK. Continuing..

After the line

Verifying

If the verification failed, you would see.

Failed

Followed by.

Backup aborted. Verification failed

The backup will always abort if verification is not successful.
