Currently no destination is permitted unless it is large enough to accept a restore in its entirety.
If I need to restore a 6 GB image you exclude all 4 GB partitions and all 4 GB unallocated spaces, even when an unwanted old 4 GB partition has a conveniently available adjacent 4 GB space, and I then have to manually delete the old partition before you allow me to proceed.
It would be much better if you allowed me to proceed with a pop-up caution. If I select a 4 GB space you could give me an optional choice of which adjacent partition to take out. A novice with less experience than I might not realise that manual deletion is a possible option.
