Hi
Just upgraded to v5 from v4.2 this evening and really really really disappointed that the ability to visually browse a file system and include/exclude folders from the file backup has been dropped from the v5 release. I first wasted 30mins trying to find the functionality in the software, then came here to the forum and saw other protestations about this being dropped :( Will the ability to browse a file system and select folders be reintroduced?? If not... I guess I'm going to have to look at alternatives because the current setup is awkward, time consuming and prone to error.
TIA.

Hi
Thanks for your post.
Sorry you find the file and folder selection UI unacceptable. It was changed due to the fact that many users complained about the lack of flexibility of the previous version. Your points are understood and we will have a solution to satisfy both camps in a future update.
Thanks for your input.
Kind Regards

I am a new user and I too would like the detailed folder check off for selecting files to back up. Thanks.

Hi, What a shame, after three years you haven't introduced a workaround to select files to be saved.
Best Regards

Selecting individual files or folders to copy doesn't have the power, flexibility or ease of use of using wild card selections. I'm afraid that, despite my previous comment, we will not be changing this. The vast majority of our customers require this flexibility and to revert to select individual files or folders from a list/tree would be a very backwards step.
Kind regards
