Same problem as this http://support.macrium.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2987. I've fixed the VSS issue (can create Shadow Copies manually.) However, still get the error. Why would a restart fix this? It's a real problem because I need a backup and this is a production web server.

Hi

Thanks for your post. Sorry you are having problems.

Where do you see the result code 0x8004131F ?

Is this in 'Status' column in the scheduled backup tab or in the backup log as a VSS result?

As a scheduled task result this means that the task is currently running. What have you scheduled? Is it a VBScript source file or an XML file?

Kind Regards

Hi,

I'm getting this error in the Last Result field of a scheduled task. The scheduled task is an incremental File and Folder backup to a local disk.

This is the initial backup of ~1TB of data so it's taking a long time to run (more than a day). I've set the task to run daily.

Does this error mean that it tried to start the task, but found that the previous day's task is still running?

The task status now shows as Ready, but it looks like the task is still running in the background.

Hi Hught58,
I am sorry you are having problems. Could you reboot and then try again?

Kind regards
