I decided to start a new thread on this subject despite having raised the matter in a previous thread.
For the last two days, my scheduled file backup has run twice in immediate succession i.e. no sooner has it completed the first backup that it starts again and runs another backup. Yesterday, it ran an incremental backup. On the first run, it actually backed up files but on the second run, it didn't copy any files. Today, it ran a full backup on each run. In total, I've now had five instances of this strange behaviour over a period of 28 days. Three of these were when carrying out file backups and two were when creating disk images.
Could you check that there isn't a problem with your Windows scheduler?
1. Select 'All Programs' -> 'Accessories' -> 'System Tools' -> 'Scheduled Tasks' from the start menu. 2. From the 'Advanced' menu select 'Show Hidden Tasks'
Your Reflect backups will be visible here. Could you make sure that they correspond exactly to the view you have in Reflect. Specifically that there aren't any additional tasks; and that each task has only one schedule. It’s possible to have multiple schedules even though Reflect will show only the first.
If everything is as it should be then I suspect that it’s a problem with the 'Run if missed' option. This particular feature is being upgraded in the next release (4.2) available shortly.
I checked Windows Scheduler and it agrees exactly with what I have in Reflect. So, perhaps the problem is related to the 'run if missed' option in Reflect. Let's hope that Release 4.2 corrects this problem.
