I'm using Professional version 5.2 to backup my XP computer. I'm thinking of doing a clean install of windows 7. Is there a way to use my current backup to restore my files to a new operating system? Thanks!

You'll need to reinstall all your programs.
You can mount the image as a drive, and copy all your data, music, etc.
When you are ready, make sure you deregister/uninstall any software from the old system that requires it, such as Macrium.

Thank you for responding to my post. Since my computer is working well, I will put off upgrading to windows 7 for the time being. I appreciate the information and know what to expect should I decide to make the switch.
