I just switched from regular to dynamic disks. My disc has 3 partitions. I tried to mirror them, using windows 7 but it didn't work ads planned so I turned to Macrium. But I am getting the error message "No partitions copied to the target disc. Dynamic volume nit available or found." What is going on? |

@adambt
Thanks for posting.
Unlike regular disks that have partitions with disk offsets, Dynamic disks contain volumes that need to be copied or restored by using drag and drop to place the source volumes on the target.
Left click on each of the source volumes in turn and Drag and Drop them onto the target Dynamic volumes.
Kind regards

I am unsure what you mean by left click? However, I tried but could not just drag and drop the disks. |

Have you created a dynamic disk in the Windows Disk Management Console?
You can use the DMC to 'Mirror' if this is what you are trying to do:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/cc779765%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
If this doesn't work then can you please let us know what the problem is and what it is you are trying to do with Reflect.
Kind regards

It didn't work and also through the management console that didn't allow me to mirror, as the feature was off. Macrium gives me an error that no partitions found, dynamic volume not available. Should I consider the clone option dead?

Hi Adam
Select the Disk in the Macrium main Window, click 'Clone', select a target disk for the clone. Use Drag and Drop for each of the source dynamic volumes to drop then onto the target disk.
If the target disk is an MBR disk then you may want to delete the partitions on the target first by selecting the partition(s) and clicking the 'Delete' partition link in the clone target. The result of the clone will create a standard MBR disk not an Dynamic disk.
If the target disk already has dynamic volume(s) on then you can only drag and drop onto the existing dynamic volumes.
Kind regards
