I am trying to create a rescue disk with network support. I have tried to copy the driver in manually and by using Macrium Drive Copy.
No matter what I do, I can't make it work.
When I start the Windows PE latest version 2.1, the drives are loaded, but I can't select a net card to use.
My system: OS: Windows 7 64-bit ultimate MB: ASUS P7H57D-V EVO Using on board net card: Realtek PCIe GBE
Is there anyone that can help me?

Hi,
Thanks for contacting us.
Sorry you are having issues with the rescue CD.
When you copy the driver files please be sure to copy the .INF, .SYS, .CAT and .DLL files as well. It would be best to grab a driver package from the vendors website in ZIP format.
Please recreate a rescue CD when the files have been copied and try again.
Kind regards.
Chris.

Hello Chris. You seem to be an expert on this program, so let me pose 2 or 3 questions to you.
Following instructions, last night I was finally able to get the PE rescue disk to see a drive on my network. This was done by proper installation of my NIC's 64 bit Vista drivers, both on the CD and on the computer. The question is, when you log into another computer's drive (say drive E), you can't log on to any other drive unless you log off E first. I see no way to do that on the disk's menu.
Now comes the Linux disk's turn. I downloaded Linux drivers for my NIC, but I can't find any instructions as to what do with them? Do you know or know where I can find the answer?
Thanks, Humbert |

I am having the same problem. My Win PE rescue disk does not see my ethernet or my wifi. I've tried copying the driver both manually and by using MacriumDC.

I could not find a zip file or list from my vendor (Intel), just an exe which installs the driver on my computer. However, in the Device Manager, in the Driver File Details dialog, I saw a list of files, which I copied over manually to...
C:\boot\Macrium\Drivers\Network\e1yexpress (for ethernet) and C:\boot\Macrium\Drivers\Network\NETw5s64 (for wifi).
I then re-created an ISO file on my desktop and re-selected the Windows boot menu option, and booted to the Macrium Rescue menu option.
No luck. WinPE still does not see my network devices.
Please help!
