Macrium done wonderful job few days ago. Now I'm trying to restore old C image from backup to brand new hdd. I have been reading on this forum that new hdd don't need to be formatted prior restore with W PE 2.1, but it seems Macrium PE boot cd not see any new HDD. Instead, in Macrium I have second (non boot d:) drive as C: without any other HDD except back up hdd (as E:), boot x and Macrium cd drive sa D:. In bios, new hdd is set as boot disc and can be seen in bios/cmos. What I should do next?

Hi,

You are correct that the new disk does not need to be formatted. However, you will not see it using PEExplorer in this state.

However, when you get to the partitions to overwrite page in the restore wizard, you should see your new disk.
