Why not use your favorite compression program to compress but allow Macrium Reflect to decompress them or restore them on the fly.

I used zipx and knocked out about 3 gigs with the high compression in reflect.

as far as I know the decompressor are free...but i could be wrong.

But a 1% improvement is not worth the time and effort if your 3 GB is a saving on an original size of 300 GB.

What was the original size ?
What were you compressing ?
Was it a normally compressed Intelligent Disk/Partition image file ?
