Hi! I suppose this question has been asked before, but I can't find the answer. Do I need to make a new Linux rescue CD every time Macrium up dates a new patch, or will the old CD work?? I like to have several ways to get to my back up images. I love your program!! garybear!!
Some days your the windshield. Some days your the bug
Although I would normally burn a new rescue CD when there is an Update for Macrium Reflect which includes a rescue CD update you do not have to do so. If you have a Macrium Reflect 4.2 rescue CD for Linux, Bart PE or Windows PE, that is compatibility with your PC it will still be compatible after later updates of Macrium Reflect 4.2 have been installed.
If you update your PC hardware or get a replacement PC and you transfer Macrium Reflect to it, always check that your existing rescue CD is compatible. This compatibility should also be with your external hard drive as well as internal drives etc. If it is not compatible you can try compatible Mode with Linux and you can check for updates before you burn the new CD. Windows PE will normally have a much greater compatibility than Linux.
Hope this helps
