Have Win7,64 bit,Rescue cd(Win pe)cannot find external drives. Downloaded reflectdc & installed. Have 3.0 USB drives and 2 PCI 3.0 cards. All looks ok on Reflectdc.log-- don't know if I have enough or proper drivers, but still PE can't show my External Hard drives. All works OK if Ext Drives plugged into USB 2.0.I think I've done great since I'm a novice with drivers, but now stuck. I've redone the rescue CD, but somehow it has forgotten my mouse drivers,I get stuck at selecting "I agree/disagree" with no mouse. |

Hi,
Thanks for contacting us and welcome to the forums.
The testing we have conducted thus far reveals that it is motherboard/PCI card dependant, more specifically the firmware used in the USB chipset can present incompatibilities between the driver model and the firmware.
Even after adding the correct drivers to a WinPE rescue CD, there are still instances of USB 3 devices not working under WinPE.
We recommend to customers to use USB 2 connectors under this scenario.
Kind regards.
Chris.
