I got a new computer for a couple of problems I was having on it. I've tried to install my license key that worked on my old computer, but, it does not accept the license on the new computer. When the application connects to the registration server, it returns a window saying:
"MULTIPLE LICENSE INSTALLATION Multiple license installation. This is a single PC license and you are required to purchase additional licenses for each PC where Macrium Reflect is installed. You can remove your license from an existng installation by takiing (sic) the 'Help' > 'Remove license' menu option."
I can only get the install to accept a 30 day trial license. There is no option in the Help to Remove license." All I can do is select OK to the trial license. That's all that works. I've tried the installer for versions 4.2.3628 and 4.2.3638 and got no go.
The only thing I've changed is I got a brand new computer with new hardware, a 64 bit machine and thus an installation of the 64 bit version of the software versus the 32 bit version I had on the old PC. Surely I shouldn't have to purchase an entire new license just because I got a new PC? If so, that is very bad business practice.
Thanks! |

Did you uninstall from the old system? If not, do that and try again. If you did, I'd email support (at) macrium.com with the license key explaining what happened. They'll take care of it for you. |

Yeah, I just came across this Knowledge Base article:
http://kb.macrium.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50062.aspx?Keywords=license
As you said, it says to unregister the license key from the old computer and register it on the new one. Unfortunately, I no longer have easy access to the old computer where the license was no unregistered from. So, I e-mailed support@macrium.com to see if they can help me.
As you said I should do. Thanks! |

Tech support reset my license and I was able to install it. Discovered because of the weird and stupid partition assignment that Dell put on this machine (A small partition, less than 150 KB, called DellUtility; a 12 GB Recovery partition that is set as the Active and apparently booting parition; and a C: partition of the rest of the 1 TB drive that holds Windows on it.) the Windows PE boot menu option does not work. |

Odd. I disabled the boot menu option in Macrium Reflect, reset it, and tested it. It works now. Go figure! |
