Hi

I've imaged my PC to 4 DVD's (2 x RW), but when I boot with the Rescue CD it can't see the image in the drive..

Hi Aly

Please make sure that you have the last DVD (with the image index) inserted when you click on the DVD/CD icon. You will be prompted to locate backup images as they are required by the restore process. In a multi DVD backup the first DVD will contain files numbered 1 - 3, the second will contain 4 - 6 ... etc. So when Macrium instructs you to 'Locate file No. 4' you should insert the second DVD in the backup set. This will always be in sequence.

Hi Aly

The maximum file size on the DVD is 2GB and DVD's generally store 4.3 - 4.7 GB, therefore each DVD has 3 files.

You are only prompted for files that the restore process can't find, so initialy the process requires the final DVD to load the index, then the first DVD etc and finally the last DVD.

Simply insert the DVD's in sequence after the index is loaded.
