Been backing up with Macrium Reflect for about a year. I did make a rescue DVD. Today I lost my entire computer. The recovery disk just sat there with a GRUB error. This is not Linux. Why the grub error? As of now all my backups are worthless. Guess I'll have to go back to Clonezilla which I don't want to do. OR it must be something I have done wrong.

Thanks for your post. Macrium Reflect doesn't use GRUB, so this message isn't related to the Macrium Reflect rescue CD. Please make sure you are booting with the correct media.
Thanks for replying Nick. Fraid I'm very confused. The rescue cd I created with Macrium was the one for Linux. This is what caused the GRUB message. If you click on the rescue cd in the Macrium window it brings up a window with 2 options: 1: Linux 2: bartpe. I clicked on the one for Linux. I have no idea how to proceed from here. As of now I can not restore if I need to do so.

Macrium Reflect *doesn't* use GRUB so you are not booting with the Macrium Reflect rescue CD. The MR Linux CD uses isolinux.
I'm afraid the free edition of Macrium Reflect is not a supported product. For further help with this please email your full license key to support (@) macrium.com and we will assist you further.
