Hi,

I was wondering how I obtain the rescue disk that uses Windows PE 3.0?

I am asking, because I am trying to image RAID 0 and RAID 5 arrays - but can not restore the images, because the rescue CD does not 'see' the RAID arrays.

Further research suggests this is down to the Windows PE component of the rescue CD - and a beta ISO can be obtained - I just do not know where?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us.

Version 2.1 of WinPE should have no issues with creating images of RAID array setups, but you will need to add drivers to your WinPE rescue CD for the RAID card.

Please note that you will need to use Vista based drivers and copy all files that make up the driver package including .SYS, .INF, .CAT and .DLL files.

Great - thanks for this information - after a bit of messing trying to get the RAID drivers all now ok.

Just wish the network drivers would also work - but alas I can not get the Marvell Nic drivers to load - so no imaging accross the LAN.

Real shame.
