Hi,
I woul like to know how I can manually uninstall MR from my Vista Business notebook. And the install MR5.
My problem is that the automatic uninstall fails, and so does the repair procedure.
I am stuck. I can't neither uninstall the old version (installed in April 2009) nor install the new v5.
I guess the old installation is damaged becouse I deleted some files and tried the new install without uninstalling the old one (didn't even remember still having it), besides as a different Windows administrator.
Well, I think I made a mess! :(

It's Windows 32bits.
Macrium free version 4.2.2055 according to MrDetails. |

When I try to remove or repair it, I get
"The installer was interrupted before Macrium Reflect - Free Edition could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again."
but I don't think I have the v4.2.2055.1 setup file any longer. |

Nevertheless, I tried to run reflect.exe and it still works!

Tried to install 4.2.4093 (I could not find my exact version), from the Macrium cloud... To no avail. Installation silently ends. Still can't uninstall, nor upgrade.
Please help! |

The only help I could offer (until the pros arrive) would be to try to install by right-clicking the .exe file, and choosing Run as Admin.
There may be an issue with the Windows protection.
If that works, you should be able to then uninstall. |

You can download the v4.2.2055 free installer from here:
http://updates.macrium.com/reflect/v4.2.2055/reflect_setup_free.exe
Running this may give you the option for a repair install. If that doesn't help then there is an MS utility to repair MSI problems here:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
