Hello,

I backup for more then a year using macrium v 4.337 succesfully on 2 servers.
(My backups were okay and the email notification was okay.)

Now i don't get email notifications.(the backups are okay)

The only thing that has changed is that we are now using glassfiber.

on one server this happens:

Macrium says backup completed successfully and after that i get a windows script host screen which says;

c:\users administrator.xxx\document\reflect sbs thuesday.vbs
line 129 char 2
error the server has rejected one or more recipients adresses
The server response was 550.5.7.1
<email adress> .. relaying denied
ip name look up failed [ip adress]
code 8004020F source (null)

what does it mean and what can i do about it???

On the other server i also don't receive emails notifications but no windows script host screen appears.
what does happen is that in macrium scheduled schemes : that the backup ended sucessfully but that the status is still running.

What can i do about it

greetings.

Hi

Thanks for your post.

The error regarding "relaying denied" is from your SMTP host. Your login credentials are incorrect or not entered. You need to update your VBScript for the correct details. Please see this kb article for more information on email settings in v4 of Macrium Reflect. If you need to add authentication then the GMail example shows how to do this:

http://kb.macrium.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50055.aspx

Please note that v5 of Macrium Reflect includes email test functionality and a dedicated email component so you don't need to use VBScript.

For your upgrade options please see here:

Kind Regards

Hi

Thanks for getting back.

This is the same problem. The script is showing an error message box that you can't see, so it's hanging the process. You can use task manager to kill the process (wscript.exe) or reboot your PC. If you fix the email issue then this won't happen.

Kind Regards
