Hi all,

This has probably been answered before. I thought I remembered seeing this problem, but I thought I read it had been fixed already...?

I have some batch files that are scheduled as tasks, they run every night.

Yesterday during the day I did a "manual" file & folder backup, and told it to launch immediately after the creation of the XML file. So it started to run, interactively.

I forgot about it for the rest of the day. When I came in today, the server's screen was still displaying Reflect's "Your job completed OK" screen (I forget the exact wording) from the manual, interactive file/folder backup job.

However, my two incremental scheduled jobs from the night before hadn't run. And when I "OK'd" out of the interactive dialog, my incrementals from the night before finally kicked off.

Is this by design? Is the status of an interactive job not really "done" until you click that final "OK", thus causing other jobs to queue up behind it?

Just curious. I mean I can always try to make sure I "don't do that", but it seems odd. I would think a message saying your job completed OK meant the job was indeed "done" and would not cause other jobs to queue...?

Or should I have just hidden Reflect or something?

Thanks,

RE

Hi,

Thanks for posting.

All batch file jobs (scheduled, and Non Interactive) will auto complete and allow queued jobs to start. Interactive jobs must be completed by clicking okay before anything else will start.

Kind Regards,
