Hi
Creating image of primary NTFS petition to external hard drive works beautifully but when I try it to DVD, whilst it appears to work and burns something on the DVD, the DVD can't be read by Windows. The backup image is just over 4Gb and when burning the image I get a message saying that it will use UDF format. My compression is set to medium; Microsoft support suggests I should turn this off unless I am using the same software to look at the drive as burnt it (which I am, using Reflect in both cases). Whilst I could restore from the external drive, turn compression off and try image to DVD again I would have thought it should have just worked. Any other suggestions?
Thanks
David

Hi David

Please disregard the Microsoft advise; it is not relevant in this case. The compression level refers to the data in the file not the file system on the disc.

Which version of Reflect are you using?
Are you using XP or Vista?

Hi Nick
Sorry, I should have said. Windows XP, SP2 with all the latest updates and Reflect 4.1, Build 1931.

Cheers

Hi

The DVD writing works very well so I'm not sure what the problem is here. Can you try a different DVD format? (DVD-R, +RW, ..)

You could pre-format the DVD using Nero InCD or similar if you have it.

Hope this helps

Nick
